Rockford- Albert R. "Pete" Larson, 80, of Rockford passed away on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 in Park Strathmoor Nursing Home. Born on March 5, 1932 in Devils Lake, North Dakota to Alfred and Anna (Krantz) Larson. He worked as a machinist at Rockford Products and retired from Elco. He served in the U.S. Navy and was veteran of the Korean War also a lifetime member of the VFW. He loved to fish and bowl and enjoyed vacationing in the Smoky Mountains.
Survivors include his daughters, Deborah (Brad) Carlson, Lori (Bob) Tapia, Karen (Glenn) Wagner and Janet Smith and their mother, Louise Dorsey; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Vern (Kathy) Larson and Donald Larson. Predeceased by parents; granddaughter, Kelly Moore, and significant other, Jane Hitch.
Funeral will be at 10:30am on Monday, March 12, 2012 with a visitation from 9:30 until time of service in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory, Rockford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Road. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens,food and fellowship later that afternoon from 3-7 at the VFW Ross Pearson, 922 7th St. In lieu of flowers memorials to family.
