Belvidere - Mary Rose Schumacher, 86, of Belvidere was welcomed into Heaven on Thursday, April 12, 2012. Born in Kenosha, Wisconsin on September 14, 1925, the daughter of Matthew and Viola (Quandt) Zapf; married Bud Schumacher on September 4, 1944. She was the social director of the family and coordinated all the events. She was an avid bridge player and a member of St. James Catholic Church in Belvidere.

Survivors include her son, Lawrence (Gwendolyn) Schumacher; daughter, Susan Schumacher; grandchildren, Jeremy (Erin) Schumacher, Clarissa (Jeff) Craft; and four great-grandchildren. Predeceased by parents; husband; brother, Matthew (Laurine) Zapf; and best friends, Barb Hill and Father Norbert Sharon.
