Edward J. Grzelak Sr. of Roscoe,Il. , formerly of Lombard,Il. , died suddenly and peacefully in his sleep April 22,2012 at home with his family at his side. Born .Chicago,Il. on April 1,1936.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Shirley (nee Jensen) his children, Greg, Jeanette (Andy) DeGroot, and Steve (Donna) Grzelak, his brothers Ray and Rich (late Arleen) Grzelak and loving grandfather of 3, Jason, Nick and Katie. He was preceded in death by a son, Edward Jr. and his parents Zigmunt and Catherine (nee Szwandrok). Special thank you to Hospice Care of America, Rockford,Il., and their staff and caregivers who made it comfortable for Edward to remain at home.

A small family service will be held at 11:00am Thursday April 26, 2012 in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory, Roscoe Chapel 11342 Main St. in Roscoe,Il. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m., until services Thursday in the funeral home. Interment service at St. Adalbert Cemetery in Niles,Il.
