Rockford - Douglas L. Thulander,85, died peacefully at Provena St. Anne Center. Born June 14, 1926 in Rockford, to John and Agnes (Larson) Thulander. Douglas was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and worked as a tool and die maker at Active Tool and Manufacturing. In April he celebrated 64 years of marriage to his true love Marvelene (Beeman) Thulander and together they raised three children.

Survivors include wife of 64 years, Marvelene; children, Steven, Diana, and Pamela; seven grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren.
