Raymond Maurice Greer, 46, was born June 15, 1965 in Freeport, IL to Robert and Marsha Marshall of Rockford, and he left this earth on June 2, 2012 in Rockford, IL. He graduated from Rockford East High School in 1983 where he was active with the football and track team. In 1983, the track's relay team was known as the "Dogging Crew". In 2003, Raymond married Sylvia Ramos in Rockford. Before leaving Rockford, he was employed at Gunite Corporation.

Raymond leaves to cherish his memory his father, Robert Marshall; his siblings, Dawn (Renee) Taylor, Seattle, WA, Andre (Janice) Taylor and Bradley (Big B) Marshall, Rockford, IL; his son, Sheldon R. Greer; Sylvia Greer, and friend, Tammie Clemons. He was preceded in death by his mother, Marsha Marshall; maternal grandparents, Thaddeus and Margaret Taylor; and paternal grandparents, Major and Tommie Lou Greer.

Services will be at 12:00 noon on Saturday, June 9, 2012 with a visitation from 11:00 until service time in Honquest Family Funeral Home, Rockford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Rd., Rockford.
