Rockford - Rena M. Smith, 95, died Tuesday, August 14, 2012.  Born February 2,1917 in Luca, Italy, to Antonio and Nancy Dianda.  Rena was a wonderful cook who delighted in serving her family. Her pastries were always in demand during the hoidays and she enjoyed crocheting, dressing up in her best, and playing with her  great- grandchildren.

Survived by son, Anthony (Becky) Nardi; grandson Anthony (Cori); great-grandchildren, Hunter, Wynter, and Madysen.  Predeceased by parents; first husband, Idolfo Nardi; husband, Gerry Smith; children, James and Diana; a brother and sister.
