Marla Ruth Wallace

Marla Ruth Wallace, 69, of Rockton, IL, passed away at home on February 20, 2026. Marla was born on September 25, 1956, in DeKalb, IL, to her parents, Robert Rund and Marlowe Simonson. She graduated from Beloit Memorial High School. Marla married Glenn at the church by the side of the road, and together they spent 44 wonderful years.

Marla was an animal lover and loved her cats, dogs, and squirrels. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

The family gives special thanks to the hospice care team. They were absolutely wonderful with Marla and made her comfortable.

Survived by her husband, Glenn Walace; sister, Pam; nephew, Jared. Predeceased by her parents, Robert and Marlow Rund.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 25th, 2026, at Honquest Family Funeral Home – Roscoe Chapel, 11342 Main Street, Roscoe, IL, 61073, at 2:00 PM, with a visitation starting at 1:00 PM until the time of service.
